Tom Wilson is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Middle East practice and focuses on major public and private capital improvement projects. Mr. Wilson is an experienced disputes lawyer who has represented a range of construction and engineering industry clients, within the U.A.E., the United States and internationally. He represents owners, international contractors, and original equipment manufacturers in resolving disputes over the construction and operation of infrastructure assets. Mr. Wilson recently concluded the representation of a major institution in regard to a large development in Cairo, and the representation of a contractor in an international arbitration over a power development project in sub-Saharan Africa. Mr. Wilson currently represents several clients in claims and disputes arising from construction projects in Dubai. Further, he is representing a contractor tendering for the region’s largest PPP scheme. Mr. Wilson has particular experience in the power industry, having advised owners, contractors and OEMs in the development and delivery of gas-fired, coal-fired and nuclear power generation facilities.

Mr. Wilson spends an increasing amount of his time serving as project counsel to clients executing complex projects. In this role, he helps clients to avoid disputes or achieve early resolution of disputes through structured negotiation and mediation, often during the pendency of the project. Mr. Wilson advises clients with regard to project delivery systems, contract negotiation, contract compliance, and risk management. Mr. Wilson occasionally accepts appointments as an arbitrator.
