Richard Sieg focuses his practice on environmental and natural resources litigation and regulatory compliance concerns.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Sieg was a surface warfare officer onboard a guided-missile destroyer in the U.S. Navy. At the end of the first Persian Gulf war, he left the military and thereafter worked as an environmental engineer and regulator for the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Mr. Sieg then took his regulatory experience into industry, working in the Environmental, Health and Safety Department at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company for eight years and became licensed as a North Carolina Professional Engineer.

Throughout his naval career and during his time in industry, Mr. Sieg received several individual and organizational decorations and awards for outstanding service.
