SEATTLE (February 16) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Jesse Bennett to the firm’s Seattle office. Mr. Bennett joins the firm as an associate on the Electronics and Software Team in the internationally recognized Intellectual Property Department.
Mr. Bennett focuses his practice on patent prosecution. He brings considerable experience counseling clients regarding patent preparation, prosecution and strategy. Mr. Bennett has drafted non-provisional U.S. patent applications and office action responses for applications relating to databases, data structures, mechanical devices, authentication portals, digital image taggers, network technologies, e-book readers and various other software applications and business methods. He has also conducted website audits, including copyright counseling as well as drafting privacy and terms of use statements. Mr. Bennett is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to joining Kilpatrick Townsend, he was an associate at Sutherland. Mr. Bennett earned his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, where he was associate editor of the Florida State University Law Review. He earned his B.S. in Computer Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Florida.
