Our attorneys serve in leadership roles in a variety of organizations such as the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House and the Anti-Defamation League. Our staff members and attorneys regularly devote their time to improving the quality of life for others through firm-sponsored charitable events.

The American Red Cross presented Kilpatrick Stockton with the Circle of Humanitarians Award, the organization's highest award honoring financial assistance. The firm was recognized for its support of disaster relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Kilpatrick Stockton's staff and attorneys raised more than $70,000 for the Red Cross' Hurricane Relief Fund in August and September of 2005.

 



Winston-Salem Sends Cook Elementary to UNC Chapel Hill
The Winston-Salem office sponsored a field trip on Friday, October 3rd, to UNC Chapel Hill for 34 fifth grade students from their partner school, Cook Elementary. The students and their three KS volunteer chaperones participated in a scavenger hunt and tour of the campus, visited the Morehead Planetarium, met with librarians at Davis Library, and heard from Carolina Covenant Scholar Michael Betts about his background and the Covenant scholarship. The students also ate lunch at the largest off-campus dormitory, visited the law school and spoke with several law students, and visited the new basketball museum at the Dean Dome.More on Volunteerism


Kidnapped Girl Returned
A six year old girl was reunited with her father and grandmother two years after her mother removed her from her home in Mexico in violation of a court order.More on Pro Bono


Charlie Henn Receives 2009 Marshall Memorial Fellowship

IP partner Charlie Henn was recently announced as a recipient of the 2009 Marshall Memorial Fellowship. The Fellowship offers emerging leaders ages 28-40, the opportunity to explore societies, institutions and people on the other side of the Atlantic. Now in its 26th year, the Marshall Memorial Fellowship hosts individuals from the political, public, corporate, media and non-profit sectors for a three to four week travel experience designed to strengthen the transatlantic relationship. More than 1,500 Fellows, drawn from 22 European countries and the US, have participated in the program since its inception in 1982, including Cal Cunningham and Shyam Reddy in 2007.More on Leadership
